This intense red wine from Italy's Abruzzo region is made from the Montepulciano grape. With cherry and ripe plum fruit aromas, it has a warm, earthy spice character. The palate is densely packed with morello cherry, cassis and bramble fruit flavours, and the ripe tannins give structure to a substantial wine with a fresh sappy finish.
